URLTO GUIDE
Prepare a shared link's title, description and image
A clear title and image help visitors understand a link. Begin with the metadata supplied by the original page.

1. Know what the preview reads
Social Preview reads Open Graph and Twitter/X metadata from fetched HTML and presents a card approximation. Open Graph's basic properties include title, type, image and URL. The approximation does not guarantee that every platform will display the same card.
2. Match the fields to the published content
| Field | Review |
|---|---|
| og:title | The current page, not an old campaign |
| og:description | What visitors will find or do |
| og:image | A publicly accessible, relevant image |
| og:url | The intended canonical page URL |
3. Inspect the image and the actual platform
Open the image URL without signing in. Check the actual platform because cropping can hide small text or content near an edge. A functioning short-link redirect does not compensate for missing metadata at the destination.
4. When an old card persists
First check whether the current original HTML contains the updated values. A platform can still retain cached preview information, so use its supported refresh or inspection process. Work through current metadata, image access and the actual publishing preview in that order.
