A QR code only works if people can scan it.
A QR code lets a camera recover encoded text or a URL. Reliable scanning and a stable destination matter more than decorative styling.
Before you print
- Keep strong foreground/background contrast
- Leave quiet space around the QR pattern
- Avoid printing too small for the viewing distance
- Test on both iPhone and Android devices
- Verify the final destination before producing physical materials
Why use a short link inside a QR?
A shorter destination can produce a less dense QR pattern and gives you a link-management layer. If the URLTO short link is disabled, expired, or deleted, the QR will also stop redirecting to the destination.
