Input and processing example

Compare it yourself · Illustrative example

원본 / Original: 1200 × 800
최대 / Maximum: 900 × 900
비율 / Scale: 0.75
결과 / Result: 900 × 600

Steps to verify

  • Check the original ratio.
  • Read both output dimensions.
  • Compare text and logo shapes.

How to interpret the result

Scaling width to 75% also scales height to 75%. Integer-pixel rounding can produce slight ratio differences for some sizes.

Deciding what to do next

Use proportional output rather than forcing both dimensions. Review padding or cropping as separate work.

Feature scope

Downsize PNG, JPEG and WebP proportionally in the browser without upscaling. Inputs are bounded by 20 MB, 20 megapixels and 8192px per side; metadata and animation are not preserved as originals.

Frequently asked questions

Must output fill the height maximum?

It is an upper bound and can remain smaller to preserve proportions.
